Recently, a conversation I had with Naonao made me reflect once again on the brand I hope to build in the future.
During our conversation, Naonao said something that stayed with me:
“All the little things we do are simply means to be a way of achieving a goal.”
For Naonao, creating things is part of the path—a means of sharing with the world what she truly wants to communicate.
That really resonated with me.
Because I’ve often felt that designing clothes may also be just one means of achieving what I truly want to do: help women discover and bring out their own unique beauty and strengths.
I love noticing the things people may not yet see in themselves—their hidden abilities, the beauty and strengths that women possess, and the potential that lies within children.
I want to help people recognize those qualities without trying to change who they are. I want to walk alongside them as they grow and blossom into who they are meant to be.
That is one of the reasons why I want to build a brand and start my own business.
And beyond that, I find great joy in thinking about how money can circulate in a healthy way and how a company itself can be designed as a sustainable system.
For me, launching an apparel brand is not simply about designing clothes, making them, and selling them.
At the heart of it, I think I simply love seeing people flourish as themselves and watching society function and grow through healthy, positive cycles.
I want to be part of that.
In fact, I enjoy thinking about how a company works just as much as I enjoy designing clothes.
I would love to learn from some of the systems that work well here in France and create an environment where people can work happily and comfortably.
And then, to build a profitable business and give something back to society—creating a cycle in which value continues to circulate.
That is what I have my eyes on.
Naonao, too, has a larger purpose behind the MIRAIS picture book project and Luna, the bunny who appears in the story.
Through them, she hopes to introduce both the CNP characters and the MIRAIS community to a wider audience.
MIRAIS is a community of parents, including Naonao herself, who are doing their best to navigate the journey of raising children.
Parenting isn’t always easy or joyful.
MIRAIS is a place where parents don’t have to go through those challenges alone—a community where people can support one another and simply be there for each other along the way.
It is also a community that helps parents share an important message with their children:
“You are loved.”
Children who grow up feeling loved can learn to value themselves, grow with confidence, and eventually find their own place in society.
In that sense, I believe MIRAIS is helping to create a warm and meaningful cycle—one that begins with love and continues to spread as children grow.
That is also one of the reasons why I want to support MIRAIS and this picture book project.
Through this project, the MIRAIS childcare-leave community is not only creating a picture book, but also trying to create a positive cycle that can reach beyond the community itself.
There are only two days left until the crowdfunding campaign comes to an end.
If any part of this resonates with you, I would be truly grateful if you could take a moment to learn more about the project.
