Aiguille & Ito is a women’s apparel brand centered around three core values: Compassion, Support, and Helping Others Shine.
The brand is designed for women over the age of 40, offering clothing that embraces both elegance and everyday comfort.
Each garment is carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans in a workshop located in Limoges, France, before being exported and introduced to Japan.
As women grow older, many begin to experience changes in their body shape and uncertainty about how to dress in a way that still feels true to themselves.
Through Aiguille & Ito, I hope to support middle-aged women by creating clothing that allows them to continue shining with confidence and authenticity.
The fabrics used are carefully selected high-quality materials sourced from specialized fabric shops throughout France and across Europe.
These textiles are chosen not only for the beauty of their final appearance, but also for the comfort and ease they provide to the artisans who work with them.
This attention to detail extends even to the sewing thread.
To complement the quality of the fabrics and achieve a refined finish, the brand uses German-made Gütermann thread. Buttons and other notions are also sourced from Europe whenever possible.
In addition, by prioritizing materials produced within France and Europe, Aiguille & Ito aims to reduce CO₂ emissions associated with transportation and minimize environmental impact wherever possible.
The garments are produced in collaboration with a workshop in Limoges that actively supports the employment of people with challengies, helping protect both craftsmanship and meaningful employment opportunities for each artisan involved.
Finally, while maintaining a strong connection with Japan, I hope that one day this project may also foster cultural exchange between France and Japan within the company itself.
With this vision in mind, Aiguille & Ito brings carefully crafted “Made in France” clothing to my home country, Japan.
